Before/After School Club

Before School
Children have free access to a range of toys and activities, but can also watch a bit of TV if they want to relax a bit before school. Breakfast is served at 7.45am, so children need to arrive before then if they require this. I aim to leave for school around 8.15am, to ensure children arrive on time.
After School
Unless the weather is bad (or the children don't want to), we spend a good 30-60 minutes in the school playground after school. The children love playing with their friends after school and it's a great way to get some extra exercise and fresh air, which is important to keep them fit and healthy! On occasions we go to the park instead, I tend to let the children decide what they want to do. We all sit down for a snack before playing, if we don't spend time playing outside, the snacks are provided back at the house instead.
I cannot usually accommodate collection from after school activities, however am willing to discuss these.
I aim to be back at the house for 4.30pm to ensure we are back in time for dinner. Children have free access to all the toys and activities and although this is usually 'free play' time, I am available to assist with activities or light homework (i.e. listening to a child read, help with spellings etc.). Although we don't usually have the TV on, it is available for those who wish to 'chill out' a bit after a long day at school. Due to the different ages of children I look after, I have to ensure that this is suitable for all age groups.
Dinner is usually served at 5pm for those who require an evening meal (£2 per meal, no charge for snack provided after school).
Children are to be collected by 6pm.
